Have you heard of Crowd Funding yet? Crowd Funding is the new form of social lending. It’s just like going to your friends and family and asking them for money, with the advantage of using all of today’s social networking sites and strategies. Now you can raise money for almost any purpose (personal, non-profit, artistic, or business) just by creating a project and putting it on a special website, then promoting that site to your family, friends, plus strangers that might be interested in helping you out.
A company called GrowThink has put together a training video that covers all of the details about how to create a Crowd Funding project, where you should create it, and how to promote it so it generates the most money in the shortest amount of time. I bought a copy a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been putting it to work.
First of all, the video is very detailed and covers the 14 steps needed to create and promote your site. They cover the top websites devoted to Crowd Funding and why you might want to choose one instead of another. They describe the types of projects that can be funded and go into every detail of how the process works. On a scale of 1 – 10, with 10 being the best, I’d give this training a 9. The price is very reasonable (less than $100) but some of the information about the top websites is now out of date. Because I like this product so much, I’ve created a Facebook Fan page at Crowd Funding Network to build a community of people who want to get their projects funded. My hope is that we can build a group of 1,000, 10,000, or even 100,000 people or more who want to raise money for personal, non-profit, artistic, or business purposes. With a group like that, it would be easy for everyone to donate $1 – 10 apiece to help members of the group achieve their funding goals. I am also creating an update to The CrowdFunding Formula training program and it will be available for free to everybody that clicks the LIKE button on the Crowd Funding Network fan page. But understand, please, that I’ve just started this project and it will take a few days before it’s complete.
